Braiding Sweetgrass is a lyrical and informative book about reciprocity and our relationship to the land that blends scientific thought with indigenous knowledge. From botanical and ecological knowledge, to indigenous history, culture and beliefs, there's so much to learn from this book. I adored the vitality and agency Kimmerer gave to the plants and land, which left me with a newfound curiosity to learn more about nature and better my relationship with it.
The semi-autobiographical narrative made this book intimate and approachable. The entire book felt like taking a gentle walk with a friend as they share their story and wisdom. If you like audiobooks I highly recommend reading the audiobook as it really adds to this atmosphere.✨
